In Situ Laser Heating
Study local photothermal response, phase evolution, and laser-stimulated materials behavior inside advanced microscopy experiments.
Tabletop SEM · SEM/FIB · S/TEM
An onboard pulser is standard on this system, enabling pulse widths as short as 50 ns with compatible CW lasers.
Why It Matters
The Power Of A Heated Spot.
Bulk holders and heater chips are useful, but many experiments need a local optical stimulus at the site being imaged. Vesta laser heating lets scientists and engineers apply light to a selected region, compare several sites on samples larger than the laser spot, and pair the response with electron microscopy or spectroscopy where the configuration supports it.
What This Enables
Application Capabilities.
SEM/FIB and S/TEM routes reviewed around geometry and safety
Raman plus heating configurations where installed
Multi-site experiments on samples larger than the focused laser spot
Aether-assisted laser, camera, and motion control
Custom wavelength and power discussions during technical review
Platform Fit
Microscope Options
Final fit depends on microscope geometry, optical access, sample environment, safety requirements, and the measurement goal.
